The satisfaction of learning a new skill

Today I learned how to do short row shaping in knitting. It's a technique that is easy to do, and hard to explain. I've tried several times in the past. so it's quite exciting - and satisfying - to acquire this skill.

Or any new skill.

When was the last time you learned something new that you weren't forced to learn e.g. for work or legal requirement?

What could you learn tomorrow?

I teach myself snippets of languages when I travel. I love finding I can say something in a different language.

I'd love to learn to ski. But that's not going to happen. So tomorrow, I'll learn to count in Turkish!

That's great, Mali! Thank you for posting. I can count up to ten in Greek myself, which recently surprised some English people who forgot that Melbourne is the world's largest Greek city outside of Athens.

Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me. learning a new skill
